Meet Paul Abbott
Paul Abbott is a life-long educator and administrator with more than 32 years of experience and a background in teaching students with disabilities. He is a 22 year veteran of the U.S. Army and Georgia Army National Guard retiring in 2009. He shares conservative values and understands many of the current challenges in education.
Paul received his Bachelors and Masters in Education from Georgia Southern University and his Education Specialist degree in School Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. He enlisted in the Georgia Army National Guard in 1987 and received his commission while attending Georgia Southern University in 1989. In 2009, Paul was selected as Teacher of the Year for Lowndes County Schools. He is married to Megan Abbott and they have five children and two grandchildren.
